…for an early evening with the most attractive ambience, it’s hard to beat the gigantic Hyde Park Nursery at this time of year. It’s bursting with flowering plants ready to go out to all the Royal Parks. Enormous exotics which have over-wintered in the shelter of the nursery are about to make the short journey to St James’s Park, and guardsmen red geraniums are ready for duty standing to (very tall) attention in front of Buckingham Palace.

The nursery is located on the private road close to the Triangle car park on West Carriage Drive, opposite Serpentine Gallery North.
